Solanum pyracanthum syn. laciniatum: Perfect joke plant

Stunning specimen plant from Madagascar has large, deeply-indented blue-green leaves with prominent, wicked-looking bright orange thorns along each midrib. Deep purple-blue flowers are followed by yellow-orange berries. This unusual, brilliantly-colored tropical relative of the tomato needs to be protected in winter. Grows 3-5 feet tall. Full sun. Zones 9-11. At this time of year we recommend this plant only for warm winter areas.
